Originally from Louisiana, Chris Ryan has been a subtle but powerful force in the music industry for more than 30 years. His expertise in music technology has made him a sought-after consultant in sound design, product design, and software and hardware development. He has worked for and consulted with some of the biggest names in the music industry - ddrum, Kat, Alternate Mode, Zildjian, Muse Research, Toontrack Music, FXpansion, and XLN Audio. He is the Co-Inventor of  Zildjian's Gen-16 Acoustic-Electric Cymbal System, serving as its Product Specialist for the last 4 years.

During his career, Chris has provided technical and tour support to numerous national and regional acts including:  Phil Collins, Whitney Houston, Pink Floyd, Motley Crue, Hank Williams Jr., Def Leppard, Third World, Neil Diamond, Burning Spear, Sting, Chicago, and David Lee Roth.

An accomplished drummer and percussionist with credit on over 200 albums, Chris has performed and recorded with national artists Martin Sexton, Percy Sledge, Patricia Vonne, and Irma Thomas and worked with producer John DeNicola at Jake's Kitchen Sink in New York City.  

He has performed and recorded with some of New England's best know artists and studios:  Mary's First, Heather Maloney, Frank Manzi, Stu Getz, Spirithouse Music & Recording, Avocet Recording Studios, and Zing Recording.

Chris currently maintains an active performing and recording schedule with artists around the world keeping him in the unique position of designing and developing products from the user experience.
